One More Reason...

Here's just one more reason why moms and our interaction with our children is so important. But not just any kind of interaction, thoughtful, purposeful interaction. This reminds me to make extra efforts with my kids. If we aren't born with some of the divine mothering qualities, we can develop them. We will be blessed as we do so and our efforts will be magnified -- because I think Heavenly Father wants.

Check out this article Marcus sent me today. It's worth the 3 minute read.

I have three kids, and one of them just has a harder time socializing and behaving than the others. I feel horrible, like maybe it's my fault, but hope it isn't. I do agree that parents help build their socialization, but sometimes, no matter what you do, there are certain ones who just don't get it.

Good article though

PS: I love your blog. I think your kidlets are adorable!!!

Oh, goodness...I hope you didn't take this as an insult. I agree with you 100% in that some kids are just the way the are, no matter what. I believe each kid comes down with their own personality, and really, some are a bit more fiesty, loud, and all together tougher than others. But I think, all our efforts are rewarded in the end. Maybe they'll be difficult while they are in our house, but when they are adults, I want to believe that something clicks. We work with what we got and we do the best we can. That was my point...keep doing the best we can because it will make a difference, at least in the long run. Gosh, I really hope I didn't offend anyone with this article. Hope not.

Oh no! No offense at all. It's all good advice, just as long as we don't judge other people's children based on it!

It's all good.

:)

The next time one of my kids (she who shall remain nameless) implies that I talk too much, I will have to point out that this has been a good thing for her social development. Ha!
