Marcus has always looked forward to being a father. When we found out I was pregnant, he was so thrilled. Samantha's birth and diagnosis has changed nothing about his love of being a father...about being her father.
The other day we went to the zoo and I took this picture from afar. When I looked at the picture when we got home, it reminded me of another picture I took nearly 8 years ago on our front lawn. It has always been one of my favorite pictures. Something about the simplicity of the moment. Just sitting together. Looking at cars. Or people. Observing life together.
