Marcus's Girls

Just the 3 of us.

Lookin' around.

Snoozin' in the swing.

Surprise!

Just another night at Grandma and Grandpa's. Surprisingly, those cords in the background haven't been a temptation yet for Samantha. I guess she's just too busy playing with pink packets of raspberry hot chocolate.

Beautiful girls. All 3 of ya. Isn't it funny when the things you'd expect your kid to get into, they don't. And the stuff you think is safe...is always toast!

Jenny & Marcus -

This is Ted (shocking as it may be). Now that we have church starting at 1 pm I find that I have some time to do some reading of the Ensign before I get ready. I was reading the Jan 2008 edition and came across an article on adoption (the actual title is Why Adoption?) and thought of the two of you. In the article is the first presidency statement on adoption. I am sure you have seen this but I wanted to leave it for you anyway.

"We...express our support of unwed parents who place their children for adoption in stable homes with a mother and a father. We also express our support of the married mothers and fathers who adopt these children.
"Children are entitled to the blessing of being reared in a stable family environment where father and mother honor marital vows. Having a secure, nurturing, and consistent relationship with both a father and a mother is essential to a child's well-being. When choosing adoption, unwed parents grant their children this most important blessing. Adoption is an unselfish, loving decision that blesses the child, birth parents, and adoptive parents in this life and throughout the eternities. We commend all those who strengthen children and families by promoting adoption."

Words do not properly express how excited we are for you. And how excited we are to welcome Callie into our family.

Love,

Ted, Peggy, Hunter and Jackson
