Callie's Smile

I have quite a few things to catch up on. So, this week, I'm devoting a lot of time to catching up on pictures. First topic of discussion: Callie's smile.
I happen to think Callie is a super cute kid. Not only is she just cute, but she has a personality that just oozes cute-ability. People love this kid...and for good reason. She's smart, funny, and knows how to charm people. One thing she'll have to perfect over the years is the on-the-spot-smile. That's right. "Callie. Smile." It always turns into this beauty.

I mean, she looks like she's going to rip your throat out. It's a very threatening look. I can just see 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade pictures...year after year in the all important yearbook -- this. Oh it makes me laugh really hard to think about it. But if she doesn't work on this, it may not be so funny down the road.

Now this smile...the natural, in the moment smile is much more appealing. I just think she's so beautiful when she has her relaxed natural smile. Oh, but that other one can sure make us laugh. So, for now, we're loving both smiles.

She'll grow out of it long before kindergarten. Then it starts up again around age nine or ten, especially in boys . . .

Chad and I were roommates my second semester of college. I think he'd just recently gotten home from Brazil, which was fun because that semester I got my call to Brazil. He would spend about a 30 a day with me trying to teach me to read out of the BOM and D&C. I slaughtered it, but it was fun. Anyways, we kept in touch for a while, but now, you know.... Chad was great. Every girlfriend he had (there were 2-3 that semester) he would always say, "I think this one is the one." He didn't marry any of them. Ha ha. He is a good guy. I just remembered he would borrow my electric razor to shave his neck (eww!) then ask me if it was ok to use it. You probably know Teneeve too then. I think my mom had a crush on him too, so you weren't the only one. Ha ha.

Seriously, she is so beautiful! What a lucky mom to hold that darling "smile" any day!

Hope you are doing well. :)

Our kids' smiles are quite funny too when they are "on demand" smiles. I'm with you on the fact that they all produce smiles from us though. Thanks for sharing such cute pictures of your girls!
